We sell shilajit as a resin, inside capsules, and in gummies. People often assume the differences are cosmetic. They are not — the three are quite different to use day to day, and the right one depends far more on your habits than on anything else.
Resin
What it is: purified Himalayan resin in a jar, taken as a rice-grain sized portion dissolved in warm liquid.
Best value per serving by a wide margin, and it is the traditional form.
The catch: it takes a minute of preparation every day, it is sticky to handle, and it tastes bitter. If your mornings are chaotic, this is the format most likely to end up unused at the back of a cupboard.
Choose it if you want the most shilajit for your money and you do not mind the ritual.
Capsules
What it is: our bestselling 3-in-1 pairs shilajit with sea moss and lion's mane in a 60-capsule pack.
The easiest to be consistent with. No preparation, no taste, no mess. A pack is a month at two a day, which makes the maths simple and makes subscriptions straightforward.
The catch: you pay for the convenience, and you are getting a blend rather than shilajit alone.
Choose it if consistency is your problem rather than cost — which, for most people, it is. This is the format customers reorder most.
Gummies
What it is: shilajit with ashwagandha in a blackcurrant gummy.
The most pleasant to take and the only option if you genuinely cannot swallow capsules — which is more common than people admit.
The catch: the least shilajit per pound of the three, and gummies necessarily contain other ingredients to make them gummies.
Choose it if capsules are a barrier, or you want something you will actually look forward to.
The honest summary
The best format is the one you will still be taking in three months. In our own order data, the capsule packs are reordered far more often than the resin — not because they are better, but because they are easier to keep up.
If you are new to shilajit and unsure, a small resin jar is the cheapest way to find out whether you get on with the taste. If you already know you will not, start with capsules.
